Joshauwa Brown is a mentor, small nonprofit business owner, and frontline fighter to solve problems for Florida’s District 99. With his dedication and commitment to community services, Joshauwa is the best candidate to represent District 99 in the Florida House of Representatives.

Joshauwa grew up in Fort Lauderdale and graduated from Stranahan High School. He has since put his diverse experiences in business, community boards, and services to work as President and Founder of Step Up! Inc., a nonprofit that focuses on empowering underprivileged individuals in the community to overcome hardships through human services and advocacy.

Over the years, Joshauwa has been a strong advocate of accountability and collaboration in local government, and has led several initiatives to improve public services, infrastructure, and has increased access to affordable housing and enhanced public safety. He currently serves as a member of the Central County Community Advisory Board and the Broward County Reentry Coalition Housing Subcommittee. Joshauwa also serves on several association boards that are dedicated to improving the quality of life in our district.

As a Florida State House Representative, Joshauwa Brown will bring a fresh perspective and a strong commitment to working with residents, businesses, and community organizations in order to find solutions to many challenges facing our district. Joshauwa strongly believes that government should be accessible, responsive, and accountable to the needs of the community. Joshauwa is committed to making sure that the voices of all District 99 residents are heard.
